These terms govern your use of Gorilla Pulse — the WordPress plugin, the mobile app, and the connected services (together, “Gorilla Pulse”) — provided by Gorilla Public of Murphys, California (“we,” “us”). By installing the plugin, using the app, or purchasing a license, you agree to these terms.
1. What Gorilla Pulse is
Gorilla Pulse displays your own WooCommerce store’s sales data on your phone, tracks marketing attribution on your own site, sends alerts, and offers AI-generated summaries and answers. It is a business information tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and you should verify important figures against your store’s own records before acting on them.
2. Licenses and your account with us
There are no user accounts in the app. Access to paid features is controlled by a license key issued when you purchase a Pulse Pro subscription. One license covers one production store (with reasonable allowance for a staging copy). License keys are for your business’s use and may not be shared, resold, or published. We may revoke keys that are abused.
3. Trial
The plugin includes a free trial that begins at activation. During the trial, core features work without a license; AI features require an active license. When the trial ends, data features pause until a license is activated. No payment information is required to trial.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Pulse Pro is sold as a subscription (monthly or yearly) through our checkout at gorillapublic.com, processed by our commerce provider and its payment processors. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your license remains active until then. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
5. Refunds
If Gorilla Pulse isn’t working out, contact us within 14 days of your first purchase and we’ll refund it. Renewal payments are generally not refundable, but reach out — we’re reasonable people.
6. AI features
AI summaries and answers are generated by a third-party AI service (Anthropic’s Claude), which receives aggregated store statistics as described in our Privacy Policy. AI features are off until you enable them in the app, are subject to a monthly usage allowance, and produce automated output that can be imperfect — treat it as a helpful summary of your data, not a guarantee. We may adjust allowances and model providers to keep the service sustainable.
7. Your responsibilities
- You must own or be authorized to manage the store you pair with.
- You are responsible for your own site’s compliance — including reflecting the plugin’s first-party analytics cookie in your store’s privacy policy where required.
- Keep your pairing keys and license key confidential; revoke keys for lost devices.
- Don’t attempt to abuse, overload, reverse the service APIs, or circumvent trial or usage limits.
8. Updates and availability
Active licenses receive plugin updates and support. We work hard to keep connected services (licensing, AI, support messaging, push delivery) available, but they are provided without uptime guarantees and may occasionally be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. The plugin’s core statistics run on your own site and don’t depend on our servers.
9. Intellectual property
Gorilla Pulse, its name, logo, and design are ours. Plugin code distributed for WordPress is licensed consistently with WordPress’s licensing norms; your subscription is what entitles you to updates, support, license activation, and connected services. Your store’s data remains entirely yours.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Gorilla Pulse is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for business decisions made based on the information displayed; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
11. Termination
You can stop any time: unpair the app, deactivate or delete the plugin, cancel the subscription. We may suspend or terminate service for abuse of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment obligations, IP, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms meaningfully, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and note the change in release notes. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
